Raycast vs Spotlight: which is better?

Spotlight is fine for opening apps and quick searches, and it is built into macOS with nothing to install. Raycast goes much further with extensions, clipboard history, snippets, window management, and scripts, which is why power users switch to it. The trade-off is that Raycast's best features sit behind Pro. If you like the idea of going beyond Spotlight but do not want a subscription, Brow sits in the middle: it is as fast as Spotlight to open, but adds clipboard history, a calculator, converters, and window management for free. Try Brow as a Spotlight upgrade, or read the full Raycast vs Grammarly breakdown if you are also weighing writing tools.
